Google Cloud has launched Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, with Germany-based Deutsche Bank serving as a design partner for the platform's Financial Research agent.
The offering is an agentic AI solution designed for financial professionals, combining a Google-managed Financial Research agent, more than 50 skills tailored to financial workflows, enterprise data connectors, and access to a growing ecosystem of third-party agents, all built on the Gemini Enterprise platform. It is initially available in preview for the capital markets and corporate banking sectors and is already in use at CME Group and Deutsche Bank. The launch, alongside a parallel offering for the legal sector, marks the first in a planned series of industry-specific packages built on Gemini Enterprise, following broader adoption of the platform among financial institutions including BNY, Citi Wealth, Lloyds Banking Group, Macquarie Bank, and Signal Iduna.
Addressing security and data provenance requirements
Google Cloud has positioned the solution around the compliance and data lineage demands of regulated institutions, an area it says general-purpose AI tools do not adequately address. The platform integrates 13 connectors to licensed data sources, including CoinDesk Data & Indices, Daloopa, Dun & Bradstreet, FactSet, Finnhub, Fiscal.ai, Guidepoint, LSEG, Moody's, MSCI, PitchBook, S&P Global, and SEC Edgar. The Financial Research agent is built on more than 50 foundational skills and provides confidence scores, stated methodologies, data snapshots, and source citations intended to support auditing and verification. The agent can be accessed directly within Gemini Enterprise or integrated into existing workflows through Agent-to-Agent APIs, and connects to enterprise data via Model Context Protocol integrations.
According to Google Cloud, the Financial Research agent is intended to support tasks including relationship manager insights, know-your-customer research involving multi-format document ingestion and beneficial-owner resolution, bond portfolio risk analysis, credit market opportunity identification, and bond issuance pitch preparation. The company said bond portfolio risk exposure analysis could be reduced to under five minutes, and that pitch presentation timelines could be compressed from days to minutes, though these figures were not independently verified.
The solution also includes access to third-party agents from Google Cloud partners, such as the D&B Business Verification Agent for onboarding and KYC compliance, FlowX Agents for loan document processing, the Obin Financial Agent for private markets and commercial lending analysis, and S&P Global's Data Retrieval and Energy Horizons agents.
Integration and deployment
Deutsche Bank contributed banking domain expertise during development, focused on the security, governance, and data residency requirements of the banking sector. The bank plans to deploy the Financial Research agent within its Corporate Bank division to support customer needs analysis, cross-business product recommendations, and acquisition process workflows, and is evaluating its use for financial crime risk management, forecasting, and pitch delivery within its Private Bank and Investment Bank divisions.
Marie-Jeanne Deverdun, Chief Technology, Data and Innovation Officer and a member of Deutsche Bank's Management Board, said the bank expects the tool to reduce manual research effort and improve the consistency and auditability of outputs.
Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services operates within both Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, allowing analysts to generate and export outputs to Docs, Sheets, Slides, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Deployment support is provided through Google Cloud's partner network, which includes 66degrees, Accenture, Artefact, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, Genpact, GFT Technologies, Infosys, KPMG, PwC, Quantiphi, Slalom, Tribe AI, and Zencore.
