Yowpay has partnered with Akurateco to extend access to SEPA-based A2A payments for payment service providers and merchants operating across Europe.
The collaboration focuses on integrating Yowpay’s SEPA orchestration capabilities into Akurateco’s white-label payment software, which is widely used by PSPs, banks and large merchants. Under the arrangement, Akurateco clients will be able to offer SEPA transfers as an alternative payment method within their existing payment environments. The integration allows PSPs and acquirers using Akurateco to activate SEPA payments for merchants without requiring additional external systems, while merchants can also connect directly where relevant. According to the official press release, SEPA remains one of the most commonly used payment rails in Europe for euro-denominated transactions.
SEPA integration added to Akurateco’s payment platform
Akurateco provides payment orchestration software designed to support complex acquiring setups, including transaction routing, cascading and the management of multiple acquiring relationships. Its platform also supports alternative payment methods, merchant administration and transaction analytics, enabling clients to manage card and non-card payments through a single interface.
By incorporating Yowpay’s technology, Akurateco expands its alternative payment method offering to include a managed SEPA layer. This is intended to support both consumer-to-business and business-to-business payment flows, particularly in markets where bank transfers are commonly used. Akurateco officials indicated that the addition of SEPA transfers gives PSPs more flexibility when offering euro payments and may reduce reliance on card-based transactions.
Yowpay, which is based in Luxembourg, operates as a SEPA payment orchestrator rather than a merchant-of-record. Its services include the provision of dedicated business IBANs, multiple payment initiation options such as QR codes and Open Banking, and automated reconciliation and reporting. According to representatives from Yowpay, the model allows merchants to receive funds directly and manage reconciliation without intermediary layers.
The companies said the partnership is intended to support European and international merchants operating within the eurozone by expanding payment choice and simplifying SEPA adoption through existing payment infrastructures.
