Navan, a global AI-powered business travel and expense agency, has partnered with DataVisor, aiming to strengthen Navan’s platform’s real-time fraud protection and prevention.
Navan’s objective and anti-fraud actions
As technology continues to evolve rapidly, scams and fraudulent attacks get more organised and complex, thus forcing companies to take greater action to fortify and protect their organisations from threats.
Since Navan’s main scope is the comfort of its users, the partnership with DataVisor comes as a solution to one of the financial world’s most challenging issues: assuring security and a fraud-free experience for customers.
This is not the first action Navan takes to ensure its platform security. Earlier in 2026, the company rolled out an Audit Engine built to detect fraud and strengthen compliance. The platform uses a system that performs more than 45 configurable audit checks in order to prevent any suspicious attempts.
Fraud prevention in AI era
DataVisor fraud detection system works with high-volume and real-time financial exchange settings. The company combines adaptive machine learning with rules to detect and prevent fraud patterns and consequently reduce risks.
Fraud prevention and protection have always been subjects of interest in the fintech world, more so now, in an era ruled by AI, which brings different challenges with it, but also various solutions and perspectives to help deal with them.
Though many scams are being generated with AI, numerous of today’s fraud prevention tools are based on it. The basic design AI follows consists in analysing its large volume of data and identifying common patterns and indicators of fraudulent behaviour. Amongst the most important, we mention behavioural analytics and biometrics, deepfake-aware liveness checks and continuous identity verification, based on cryptographic keys used for authentication.
In the last few months only, several companies have shown interest in developing solutions in fraud prevention. Riskified and Marqeta have partnered recently to offer Marqeta’s platform issuers access to pre-authorisation risk data.
