Apex Fintech Solutions has partnered with Kalshi to let firms run prediction markets via an API integration.
The integration gives firms access to market flow from Kalshi, a US-based exchange for event contracts, through Apex's existing infrastructure, without requiring them to build a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) operation or establish direct exchange connectivity of their own.
Under the arrangement, Apex handles clearing, custody, money movement, statements, and account management, while Kalshi supplies the regulated marketplace and its range of event contracts. These cover outcomes tied to economic indicators, financial markets, weather, sports, and cultural events. Tastytrade has been named as the first firm to go live on the platform.
Travis McGhee, Global Head of Digital Markets at Apex Fintech Solutions, said that the aim of the collaboration is to let firms offer Kalshi's event contracts without a separate FCM buildout or extended development timelines. Moreover, Max Crowley, VP of Business Development at Kalshi, said the integration is intended to remove technical barriers that have previously limited firms' ability to offer prediction market access to their customers.
Platform capabilities
Apex has outlined several features of the integration, described as Apex Prediction Markets:
- FCM infrastructure: Apex manages FCM operations, clearing, segregated custody, and account administration on behalf of client firms.
- API connectivity: clients connect through Apex's existing AscendOS APIs for order management, position tracking, and market data, which Apex states reduces development timelines from months to weeks.
- Combined portfolio view: event contract positions are displayed alongside traditional securities within a single account view.
- Continuous trading: Kalshi markets operate on a 24/7 basis, allowing activity outside the hours of traditional markets.
- Settlement: payouts are credited to investor accounts once contract outcomes are determined.
Positioning within a broader platform strategy
Kalshi is the first venue to be integrated into what Apex describes as its Prediction Markets Platform, intended to function as a single point of access to multiple prediction market venues. Apex has indicated plans to add further venues and expand capabilities over time, with all connections routed through the single AscendOS integration.
In addition, the move reflects the continued expansion of prediction markets as a distinct category within the US financial infrastructure, alongside traditional securities trading. By positioning event contracts as an extension of existing brokerage and clearing relationships rather than a standalone product requiring new regulatory infrastructure, Apex is framing prediction market access as an incremental addition for firms already using its platform, rather than a separate business line. The extent to which other client firms adopt the integration, and how additional venues are incorporated into the platform, will depend on subsequent rollout by Apex and Kalshi.
