Viamericas, a provider of remittance and international money transfer solutions, has raised USD 113.6 million to accelerate its expansion.
The funding comes as global remittances become more prevalent, playing a key role in connecting families and supporting economic stability around the world. Viamericas’ agent-based services and digital platforms allow the company to meet the increasing demand for faster, flexible, and more secure cross-border payment solutions. The funding was led by Old National Bank, with participation from Bank of Oklahoma Financial, Axos Bank and U.S. Bank. FT Partners was the executive strategic and financial advisor to Viamericas on the transaction.
Funds for expansion
Old National Bank mentions Viamericas as a long-time partner that demonstrated growth and financial performance over the past year, as the company improved its real-time emittance features. This reflects a commitment to growth and the development of accessible and inclusive financial services. The recent funding strengthens Viamericas’ partnership with its bank partners and accelerates its goal to help families connect and thrive. With strong support from its bank partners, the company can expand faster and deliver safe, quick, and secure services that help individuals support their loved ones back home.
The company’s network reaches 300,000 locations in 95 countries, with direct account deposits to over 2,700 major banks and 107 mobile wallets worldwide. This infrastructure offers families improved digital payment solutions and greater security when sending money to loved ones internationally.
The initiative follows Viamericas’ launch of its cash-to-cash money transfer service, back in March 2025, a solution that aims to improve how customers send and receive money, with funds available for cash pickup at any participating Viamericas location in the US and beyond. The company also started focusing on the Philippines this year, launching an open payment network in the country. The payment infrastructure allows any payer to connect with Viamericas and provide remittance services for Filipino communities.
