The Paypers attended Ecommerce Expo London in late September 2022 and talked to key names in the payments industry about the most important ecommerce payments trends merchants should look out for in 2023.

Ecommerce Expo London 2022 was a hotspot for talking trends and forecasts, this fall at ExCel London. One of the most relevant ideas that we picked up on from talking to key players in the ecommerce payments industry was that merchants should make sure they get to know their customers better and add that 'personal touch' to the CX.

Better personalised customer experience and improved localisation strategies when it comes to geographical expansion were quoted as one of the surest ways to reduce cart abandonment and maximise conversion.

Moreover, the Metaverse is going to be on everyone's agenda next year including but not limited to ecommerce payments, while crypto payments sounded as a surer and surer bet among the conversations we had with experts this year.
