Checkout.com launched in 2012. Shortly after, we were authorised as a payments institution by the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK - passporting through EEA. In 2013, we became principle members of Visa and Mastercard. In 2015 we signed American Express global acquiring. 2017 saw us authorised by the FCA as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) and expand into the US. In 2019, we were authorised as an EMI by the ACPR in France - allowing us to continue serving the EEA market post brexit. In 2019, we also announced our licences in Hong Kong where we are a Money Service Operator, Singapore as a Major Payment Institution, Australia as an independent remittance dealer and New Zealand FIU licence. In 2020, we obtained our acquiring in NORAM and LATAM, with a new office location in Brazil.

Interchange ++ provides transparent card association fees, processor fees, and interchange fees, giving merchants granular-level detail to see the cost of every transaction. All our contracts do not include minimum or financial commitments (pay per use approach). 

Flat/blended pricing is available exceptionally on request. In this instance, we price based on the business profile and risk category, nothing else.
