Through this initiative, DNB is set to utilise Worldline’s Swift Instant Connectivity to TIPS to improve its payment infrastructure and offer simplified, reliable, and real-time payment services to its clients. Additionally, Worldline’s Swift Service Bureau (SSB) focuses on ensuring secure and efficient connectivity to TIPS, implementing an optimised technical infrastructure developed to meet the demands of instant payments and the required service level as driven by the EU Instant Payments regulation. Selecting Worldline’s solution allows DNB to deliver more efficient international pan-European payments and constant service to individuals, businesses, and institutions.
The partnership with DNB follows Worldline’s collaboration with GPX Logistics to launch a payment solution throughout mainland France and its overseas departments and territories. The two companies intended to implement an augmented payment solution in France, with the service aiming to facilitate the different agencies within the GPX Logistics Group to gather customs duties, taxes, and fees for express transport services, via a user-friendly smartphone.
By teaming up, Worldline and DNB intend to connect banks to pan-European market infrastructures, which scales their overall reach for instant payments throughout the EU and directly contributes to their long-term expansion. At the same time, the Swift connectivity is managed by Worldline, with the service falling in line with the Eurosystem’s standards, offering secure and compliant security while delivering increased performance.
Furthermore, the long-term agreement forged with DNB highlights Worldline’s growing presence in the Nordic financial market, with the company planning to solidify its position as a partner for outsourcing real-time payment solutions. Worldline plans to assist other banks in the region and help them in outsourcing payment services to augment efficiency and facilitate readiness for instant payments.
