Wincor Nixdorf Opens office in Russia

The Companys highly successful business model of offering products, services and solutions via chosen partners in Russia is to continue unchanged. Wincor Nixdorf considers itself to have an excellent starting position in its business activities with banks and retailers. Wincor Nixdorf counts 350 of Russia’s total of 1,300 banks among its customers. The foundation for the Companys business with the Russian banking sector - highly fragmented by European standards – was laid as early as 1992 under the name Siemens Nixdorf. Since 1997, there have been strategic collaborations with local companies acting as sales and service partners of Wincor Nixdorf. These are Delta Systems and Systema who were joined as Wincor Nixdorf partners by Inpas this year. These partners have for years ensured the existence of a full-coverage sales and service network. Even today, Wincor Nixdorf sells a broad range of products in Russia, comprising not just ATMs but also cash-in solutions, transaction terminals, self-service printers and total solutions for branch layouts. Setting up the new office in especially intended to aid business expansion in monitoring and services, consulting and software solutions. In this way, Wincor Nixdorf will in future be able to offer its customers a comprehensive range of offerings for all retail banking requirements. Retail business with partners like Service Plus, Chrystal Services and Iskra was established in 1997 under the name of the Company’s predecessor, Siemens Nixdorf. Working with these partners, Wincor Nixdorf accompanied the expansion of international businesses such as Ikea, Douglas and the Metro Group and has also succeeded in winning over leading Russian retailers.
