Global money transfer services company Western Union and Murphy Oil USA, a subsidiary of Murphy Oil Corporation have signed an agreement to make the Western Union GoCash service available and selectively offer Money Transfer by Phone across 1055 Murphy USA gas stations and Murphy Express convenience stores in 21 states.

The partnership is set to enable Western Union’s customers to make domestic or global money transfers while shopping at Murphy USA and Murphy Express convenience store locations. In addition, consumers will have the ability to purchase money order services at select Murphy locations.

The GoCash service allows consumers to choose any of the three amounts USD 50; USD 100; and USD 200. GoCash can be purchased for both domestic and international money transfers. After the purchase, the sender will need to complete the transaction over the phone through a Western Union customer service representative and provide the money-transfer information to the receiver.

In December 2009 Western Union entered a partnership with InComm, a distributor and technology developer of stored-value gift and prepaid cards, for the distribution of the Western Union GoCashSM service.
