Vodafone Spain offers mobile top-up service with Vesta

Tuesday 13 January 2009 16:05 CET | News

Spanish mobile operator Vodafone Spain has teamed up with electronic payments provider Vesta to launch Direct Recharge, an automated top-up service.

Through a customer-created ‘Quick Code’, Vodafone Spain’s 7 million prepaid customers can recharge their credit using a credit or debit card. Once the code is created, customers are able to top-up their accounts via an automated voice response service (IVR) at the My.Vodafone.es online portal, or by sending an SMS to Vodafone.

Vesta’s technology handles top-up requests, validates customers’ payment, as well as adds credit to customers’ accounts. On top of enabling top-ups for Vodafone Spain customers, Vesta offers the operator full indemnification from transaction fraud and manages all operations surrounding electronic recharges. Vesta provides electronic recharge services for numerous operators throughout Europe and to over 20 operators worldwide.
