Wednesday 11 May 2005 16:44 CET | News

VeriFone has begun deploying its next-generation payment terminal family, Vx Solutions, across the entire Middle East region.

Vx Solutions are currently being deployed for payment and value-added applications – including loyalty and electronic top-up – in many countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, and other Gulf States. VeriFone’s strong presence in the Middle East is supported by its four VeriFone International Partners and payment sector experts – International Turnkey Systems (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Lebanon), Marshal Equipment (Oman, UAE, Bahrain and Qatar), Eastern Networks (Jordan and Yemen) and Systems Engineering of Egypt. VeriFone’s corporate team focussed on the territory comprises Sales Manager for Arabic-speaking markets, Nader Abdul Aziz; Regional Manager for Middle East, Africa and South-West Europe, Mark O’Flynn; EMEA Sales Director, Robert McLaughlin; and Strategic Consultant Rob Meli, who formerly held executive management positions at Hypercom and Cybernet. The new Vx Solutions provide a clear migration path into the future for current users of Omni countertop and portable terminals. Vx Solutions extend VeriFone’s product lines targeted at the high-end countertop, wireless pay-at-table and multi-lane consumer activated market segments. For merchants, Vx Solutions represent tailored solutions that provide the best combination of operational throughput, payment acceptance and value-added service options necessary to increase profitability and sales.
