VeriFone appoints new Head of EMEA Marketing

VeriFone has appointed Chris Lomax as Head of Marketing for VeriFone EMEA. Lomax brings to VeriFone over 15 years’ professional experience in the smart card, payments and security arenas.

Lomax, who will focus on strategic revenue objectives in his new role, replaces Richard Crookston, who becomes Director of Product Strategy. Lomax arrives from Aconite Ltd, a consultancy and software solutions provider with expertise in smart card systems and security for the banking and retail sectors. Prior to Aconite, Lomax held senior marketing and product management positions at Datacard Group, where he gained insight into the world of multi-application smart cards, card issuing and personalisation, and Racal (now Thales), where he was involved in transaction security and hardware security systems for finance and other industries. Chris’s qualifications include an MSc in Digital Systems from Cranfield Institute and an HND in Electronic Engineering from Manchester Polytechnic. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Chartered Engineer and member of The Institute of Electrical Engineers.
