USA Technologies Announces 125% Quarterly Increase in e-Port Sales

Thursday 15 April 2004 10:39 CET | News

USA Technologies has reported the largest quarterly increase ever, during the period ended March 31, 2004 in sales of its e-Port cashless transaction solution and network service contracts.

The Company also entered its June quarter with a substantial backlog of orders, which is expected to lead to record revenue for the quarter ending June 30, 2004. The record number of e-Port sales was in part driven by the recently announced joint marketing program between USA Technologies and Motient Corporation, owner and operator of the nations largest two-way wireless data network, to bring 10,000 vending machines on line inside the next 12 months with Motient-enabled wireless e-Ports. The aggressive program aims to bring wireless data connectivity and cashless vending to the entertainment, travel and hospitality industries across America. Already, Motient-enabled wireless e-Ports are operating in vending machines located at major nationwide theme parks, airports and hotels. In addition, last week USA Technologies announced that it will place eSuds, its networked laundry service, on 130 college campuses serving more than 350,000 students.
