UK: TNS achieves PA DSS certification for TNSPay payment gateway

Wednesday 2 February 2011 09:01 CET | News

International data communications company Transaction Network Services (TNS) has received Payment Application Data Security Standards (PA-DSS) compliant status for its payment gateway in the UK, dubbed TNSPay.

PA-DSS compliant applications do not store prohibited data such as track data, sensitive authentication data or PIN data, helping merchants and agents who use them to immediately mitigate compromises and support overall compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

The TNS-operated payments gateway accepts and processes several cards globally, provides multi-currency support for foreign currencies processing and offers connectivity to various Australian and global acquiring institutions. TNS activates in more than 40 countries across North and Latin America, Europe as well as Asia Pacific.

In a recent development, Australian e-commerce services provider Westfield has closed a partnership with TNS, in a bid to enable Westfield Australian online retailers to provide customers with payment processing services powered by the TNSPay gateway.
