The solution will enable the establishment of a national Card Processing Centre. The Centre will serve as the primary nation-wide payment card data processing service provider to commercial banks in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The solution is a part of Cards area in TietoEnators Global Banking Solutions portfolio. The new Card Processing Centre aims to develop the electronic payment infrastructure in the country through the creation of higher-level card processing services for banks in Azerbaijan. The solution covers the complete cycle of payment card processing: card issuing, acquiring, switching and clearing. The delivery also includes a risk management system, which diminishes misuse of cards. The solution is fully compliant with the international EMV standard for smart cards recently introduced by MasterCard International and Visa International.
