Monday 22 December 2003 09:59 CET | News

TietoEnator and Fortum have signed an agreement appointing TietoEnator as partner of Fortum Markets in the area of Customer Service and Billing.

The agreement comes after a co-operation over the past years and expands the relationship into a partnership encompassing new solutions, application management and sourcing. The first step will be the implementation of a new solution for the Swedish market. The project starts in January 2004. The partnership agreement was initiated by Fortums decision to launch a modernization project within Customer care And Billing (CAB) - aiming to build a new pan-Nordic solution for Fortum Markets and Fortum Distribution. Fortums target is to create a new solid IT structure to support growth in the Nordic area. The new solution is based on TietoEnators standard application for the energy industry in the field of Customer Service and Billing. To Fortum, it will be a key element in Fortums Nordic platform and will assist the company in strengthening the relationships with customers as well as reducing operating costs and shortening time to market for new products. A number of leading Nordic energy companies is using TietoEnators solutions. Todays agreement comprises a new generation of modules from TietoEnator.
