This is the second major integration project at Virgin Mobile using TIBCO technology following the deployment last year, which enabled gateway services with T-Mobile. Virgin Mobile also plans to deploy TIBCOs business-to-business infrastructure technology early next year to enable it to build a billing gateway for partner organizations. Virgin Mobiles billing system is specifically designed to handle mobile IP and content data services, providing the scalability necessary for a growing customer base. Virgin Mobile wanted to integrate its new customer billing system with an existing CRM system and worked closely with TIBCOs Professional Services Group in orchestrating a build-to-deployment time span of just three months. The project has consolidated three applications into one for all customer service agents and, as a result, it is already experiencing significantly reduced call durations.
