The Paymentech certification allows retail, restaurant, hotel, direct marketing, and e-commerce merchants to use the Slim CD software with Paymentech. Transactions are generally processed in 2-5 seconds through Slim CD’s NetConnect connectivity to Paymentech, without requiring the merchants to have a leased line or dedicated Internet connection. The Slim CD package includes a desktop application, virtual terminal, and a choice of shopping carts. The software also features data on demand capability, built-in gateway services, fraud detection services and backup dial-in connectivity. The SLIM CD runs on any IBM-compatible personal computer with Internet connectivity or a modem. Low-cost card swipes, signature-capture devices, and receipt printers are supported. An Enterprise Edition is available to perform merchant-level recurring billing. The SLIM CD software product is provided to ISOs, banks, and other financial institutions for distribution to their merchants. SLIM CD products are distributed through the merchant services channel partners. Use of the hosted shopping carts and per-transaction fraud screening services are bundled with the SLIM CD.
