AbbyPay is a newly established brand and group holding company that will leverage PCG’s membership in major card networks such as Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, UnionPay, and JCB, while integrating its digital payment infrastructure through PCG's A3A platform.
The cloud-based A3A system offers direct, end-to-end payment processing and settlement capabilities with major card schemes, alongside support for e-wallets and mobile payment platforms.
The platform also offers a competitive edge through its low integration fees, simplified setup process, instant settlements, and real-time transaction data insights, positioning it as a flexible alternative to traditional payment systems.
Through this partnership, PCG aims to strengthen its market presence by serving 50,000 local merchants in Hong Kong, addressing a range of market requirements. Looking ahead, AbbyPay also plans to extend its operations into key markets, including Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
In essence, the collaboration aims to meet diverse market needs by offering innovative payment technologies under the newly launched AbbyPay brand.
In the company press release, representatives from PCG described the alliance as a significant step for the company’s growth in Asia-Pacific’s payment sector. They noted that AbbyPay will combine PCG's A3A platform technology with BBMSL’s market reach to deliver seamless payment and settlement solutions for businesses of all sizes, enabling faster entry into new industries across the region.
Officials from BBMSL added that the partnership highlights PCG’s recognition of BBMSL’s contributions to the Hong Kong market. They emphasised BBMSL’s established role in the SME merchant segment since 2017 and its strong market position, which will support AbbyPay’s expansion efforts.
