Systech Gateways Certified on First Hawaiian Network

Thursday 30 September 2004 16:46 CET | News

Systech has received certification for its family of Internet Payment Gateways on the First Hawaiian Bank merchant services network. Systech also announced that successful production deployments have already occurred.

Systech Internet Payment Gateways connect legacy dial-up payment terminals and POS controllers to the First Hawaiian network over private IP networks using DSL and Frame Relay. First Hawaiian merchants benefit from higher-speed IP transactions, recurring cost savings from IP-based processing, and from the reduction in recurring phone line costs. Multiple configurations of the Systech gateways are available to match the varied needs of merchants. Stand-alone POS payment terminals connect to Systech gateway devices using an RJ-11 telephone connection. Multi-terminal POS payment controllers connect to the Systech gateway using a serial modem connection. In all cases, no changes are required to the previously installed payment application or user interfaces at the merchant site. No new training is required.
