Sterling Commerce Partners with Permeo Technologies

Sterling Commerce has partnered with Permeo Technologies, to integrate Sterling Commerces Connect:Direct software with Permeos next-generation SSL VPN offering. The new solution provides enhanced secure access for Internet file transfer services that are critical to enterprise business processes. Permeo provides security, privacy, authentication and policy-based control at the application level. Without requiring software on the hosts, Permeos offering enables traversal of existing network and security infrastructure, which reduces both management requirements and costs. Additionally, the offering is transparent to the application and to the network infrastructure, which means no changes need to be made to the infrastructure or to the applications. The Permeo remote access solution will be integrated with the latest version of Connect:Direct and will be tailored by Sterling Commerce to ensure compliance with the security and access requirements of Connect. The integrated product will be available in the United States in April and worldwide at a future date.
