Steria, a leading European IT services provider, has been selected by South Bucks District council as its ICT partner to deliver managed services in a contract worth approximately £1.4 million over the next five years.

Steria won the contract, replacing the incumbent Fujitsu Services, as a result of its selection by South Bucks as an approved supplier from the Government?s online Catalogue (GCat). GCat was set up by the Office of Government Commerce to simplify the procurement process for public sector organisations. As part of the contract, Steria will transfer two of its own staff experienced in managed services for local government to the offices of South Bucks District Council to deliver a series of projects to meet e-government targets and the modernising agenda set by the UK government. This announcement is one of a long line of e-government partnership wins for Steria, having signed contracts with Breckland Council, Spelthorne Borough Council, London Borough of Lewisham, and Great Yarmouth Borough Council since the beginning of this year.
