Stephen Flynn, Former Accenture Partner, Joins FTI

Financial Technologies International (FTI), has appointed Stephen Flynn as senior vice president, global professional services and systems integrator alliances. His appointment reaffirms FTIs commitment to building strong business relationships with clients and partners around the world.As global head of FTIs professional services team, Flynn is responsible for ensuring that clients receive the highest level of service and support. He will work closely with the existing team to oversee the continued expansion of the division. In addition, Flynn will lead the growth of FTIs network of systems integrator alliances, strengthening existing relationships and establishing new ones. Flynn joins FTI following a 20-year international consulting career at Accenture. He has an extensive knowledge of capital markets technology, most recently with the companys STP, integration management, and security offerings practice teams. Since becoming a partner in 1995, Flynn has held several senior leadership roles, including technology managing partner for Accentures STP practice and global banking line of business. He has also been responsible for developing the firms relationships with software and hardware providers including Evincible, Extreme Networks, Sun, Sybase, and Vitria. One of Flynns major achievements at Accenture was the development and integration of complex technical architecture projects for a number of high-profile clients. Flynn took a leading role in key capital markets projects including: - Designing and developing the Accenture STP Integration Platform for financial institutions; - Creating a technology architecture blueprint to enable new business capabilities for a large investment management firm (encompassing all major aspects of global investment management processing); - Leading Accentures design and implementation of a global T+1 securities settlement environment for the Global Straight Through Processing Association (GSTPA); - Leading the project teams responsible for the design and implementation of the automated exchange and clearing house functions in Switzerland and Germany.
