State of Minnesota Department of Revenue Choose Official Payments

Minnesota Department of Revenue has expanded its payment processing contract to enable Minnesota businesses to make multiple types of business tax payments electronically through Official Payments Corp.s secure systems.

Official Payments Corp. currently accepts payments for Minnesota individual income taxes, estimated income taxes, and extension income taxes. With this contract expansion, Official Payments has added certain business taxes including sales and use, withholding, special, and petroleum taxes. Minnesota citizens and businesses may now experience the convenience of making secure electronic tax and other government obligation payments around the clock via the Web at www.officialpayments.com, or through the phone by calling 1-800-2PAY-TAX. These payments may be made with a major debit or credit card. Official Payments provides electronic payment services for the Internal Revenue Service, 25 states, the District of Columbia and more than 1,700 local government clients nationwide. Official Payments principal business is processing electronic payments on behalf of government entities via its Web site, www.officialpayments.com, and its toll-free telephone number, 1-800-2PAY-TAX. Official Payments charges citizens a convenience fee for the service. Citizens using credit or debit cards with bonus rewards programs may, depending on their cards program, earn reward points, airline frequent flyer miles or cash back for paying their taxes and fees.
