Sonic Software Helps Streamline Corporate Payments

Monday 8 December 2003 17:23 CET | News

Sonic Software has announced that the Sonic Business Integration Suite, built on the worlds first enterprise service bus (ESB), is powering an automated corporate payment processing service as part of a joint RosettaNet-SWIFT corporate-to-bank (C2B) XML international payment services pilot project. The project provides an important milestone for multi-industry standards working in harmony with each other, and a significant step in streamlining billing and corporate payment processing. The pilot will show end-to-end automated payment processing between TeliaSonera, one of Europes largest telecommunications operators, and one of its partners. Nordea, the leading financial services group in the Nordic and Baltic Sea region, is serving as the corporate banking partner. TeliaSonera and its partner will electronically exchange billing and payment remittance advice (RosettaNet interchange) using TeliaSoneras eCenter messaging services, powered by Sonic ESB and Sonic Orchestration Server. TeliaSonera has been using Sonic ESB since early 2002, which along with the Orchestration Server have been configured to issue SWIFT C2B XML messages to Nordea for payment initiation, ensuring timely and secure message delivery. By using the Sonic Business Integration Suite corporations can leverage a standards-based integration platform to more easily participate in extended, multi-organization business processes including inter-corporate payment processing. In addition to providing support for RosettaNet and SWIFT, the Sonic Suite offers a standards-based distributed infrastructure that reliably and cost-effectively connects applications and orchestrates business processes across the extended enterprise. Sonic facilitates rapid development of XML-based integrations, manages as many as thousands of services from a single point, enables connectivity to over 200 types of systems without requiring custom coding, and coordinates sophisticated process flow and long running partner conversations.
