Sweden-based insurance and financial services provider Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) is to enter an agreement with the Finnish IT and electronic invoicing services company Tieto to implement the latter’s Tieto Payment Factory service with SWIFT Service Bureau.

Under the terms of the deal, SWIFT Service Bureau will enable SEB’s corporate clients to reach all their global banking partners and manage their international and domestic payment through a single channel.

SEB is the first bank in the Northern Europe to connect to Tieto Payment Factory via SWIFT and the first among the European banks which offers both automated payment and reporting processes based the ISO20022 messaging standard. Tietos own shared service centre and treasury department is the first client to use this service.

In September 2010,Tieto entered a partnership with the Finnish financial services group Pohjola to integrate its SWIFT network with Pohjolas payment transfer services for corporate customers.
