Scotiabank Wins Award for Bank of the Year in Canada

For the third time, Scotiabank is Bank of the Year in Canada, according to international banking magazine The Banker.

The Banker magazine, regarded as the industrys premier global publication, was established in 1926 and is owned by The Financial Times of London. The award was decided by the magazines global editorial team and based on financial performance, technological innovation and appraisal of corporate strategy. The Banker award singles out the Scotia Free Down Payment Mortgage, which helps Canadians overcome down payment barriers by providing qualified borrowers with down payments equal to five per cent of property values.
