Monday 13 December 2010 15:31 CET | News

Russian financial services providers Rosbank and Alfa-Bank have selected IBM’s service POWER7 Systems, in a bid to offer their customers a new option to manage and analyse data transactions.

As a result, Alfa-Bank and Rosbank are expected to use their two new POWER7 servers to build an automated reporting system based on IBM DB2. In addition, the new systems are expected to enable Rosbank to implement a new CRM system, allowing customers to have access to large quantities of transactional data.

The new systems powered by IBM are expected to be implemented by Rosbank by the end of 2010. Subsequently, they will be deployed for 1,500 users across the company by the end of 2011.

Over the past four years, nearly 3.000 global companies have selected IBM’s Power Systems product suite.
