As the companys president and chief operating officer since 1999, Averett has been responsible for day-to-day operations of the company. In his new capacity, he is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the firm. In December, 2004, Averett was named to Princeton eComs Board of Directors. His career includes more than 20 years of senior management experience in banking and financial services. Prior to joining Princeton eCom, Averett served as senior vice president in charge of Chevy Chase Banks credit card division. Previously, he held senior positions at Advanta Corporation and Citibank where he began his career in financial services.
