RDM Releases Latest Version of ITMST

Thursday 7 April 2005 10:33 CET | News

RDM Corporation has launched its latest version of the Image & Transaction Management System (ITMS) product. ITMS is a web-based payments processing system that facilitates the electronic deposit and settlement of payments received by paper check.

It is specifically designed for use by businesses that have many points of remote or distributed collection for check payments, as well as those who have large central processing centers. ITMS provides billers and financial institutions with a complete payment platform that allows them to take advantage of the efficiencies and cost savings of electronic check conversion (ECC) for both point-of-purchase (POP) and accounts receivable conversion (ARC) payments, as well as Check 21 and Image Exchange at the point of presentment. Release 2.0 of ITMS gives customers enhanced capability for processing check transactions. Features of the new release that have been targeted to enable billers to improve their workflows and efficiencies include: - Image Quality Scoring - helps ensure that images are both accurate and conform to metrics for image quality and usability established by the Financial Services Technology Consortium (FSTC); - Image Enhancement - automatically enhances images by providing additional thresholding and deskewing of images. By “cleaning” suspect images before image scoring, a higher pass rate results; - Courtesy Amount/Legal Amount Recognition (CAR/LAR) - fully automates the data entry process for keying transaction data from checks. This feature integrates a CAR/LAR engine into the ITMS Client that provides the automatic reading of handwritten dollar amounts in the Courtesy Amount Area (CAR) and Legal Amount Area (LAR) on checks. CAR/LAR processing significantly reduces the amount of data entry keying in the remittance process; - LAN/Networked Capability of the ITMS Client - supports both self-contained and networked configurations. In a networked configuration environment, multiple capture and completion modules can be installed, allowing workstations and operators to work independently while channeling the images and data to a central server for storage and forwarding to financial institutions; - Multi-Merchant Support - allows for the processing and creation of deposits for multiple merchant locations on the same ITMS Client workstation.
