RBS Lynk has promoted Nerino Mayer to Vice President of its Indirect Sales division. Mr. Mayer was named to the position following the retirement of Wayne Damron, who recruited Mayer to lead the Internet Business Development Unit in 1999.

In his role as Vice President of Indirect Sales, Mayer will be responsible for developing RBS Lynk’s indirect sales strategy to increase strategic partnerships and referral programs for value-added POS equipment resellers, Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), professional associations, banks and business solution providers. His appointment follows RBS Lynk’s integration into The Royal Bank of Scotland’s family of companies and emergence as a leading provider of electronic payment processing services. Prior to joining RBS Lynk, Mayer worked in business development roles for Hewlett Packard, VeriFone, and Hypercom, leaders in payment processing equipment and technologies. His industry background includes development of eCommerce payment platforms for US and International markets. He also led implementation of smart card technologies to support transaction processing during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Nerino Mayer worked closely with Wayne Damron in establishing the Indirect Sales Channel for RBS Lynk. Mr. Mayer assumes the former role of Mr. Damron, upon his decision to pursue new business opportunities in the banking industry.
