UK-based PPRO has entered a collaboration with Afterpay to provide US, Europe, China, and Hong Kong-based ecommerce merchants and PSPs with additional capabilities.

As part of their partnership, PPRO and Afterpay intend to allow ecommerce merchants and payment service providers (PSPs) with operations based in the US, Europe, China, and Hong Kong the ability to sell directly to US consumers leveraging the latter’s solutions. Buy Now, Pay Later significantly expanded across the US, with consumers utilising it due to its flexibility, and, in turn, increasing the average order value for merchants.

UK-based PPRO has entered a collaboration with Afterpay to provide US, Europe, China, and Hong Kong-based ecommerce merchants and PSPs with additional capabilities.

As a fintech company, PPRO delivers digital payment solutions to businesses and banks to enable them to scale their local payment services via one connection. Currently, the company’s solutions are leveraged by Stripe, PayPal, and J.P. Morgan, among others, to accelerate their journeys, increase their conversions, and minimise the complexities of local payments. According to PPRO’s officials, considering the popularity of BNPL in the US is projected to increase, providing it as a payment method at checkout represents a substantial opportunity for merchants aiming to sell to US consumers. With their collaboration, the two companies intend to enable merchants from the US, Europe, China, and Hong Kong to utilise Afterpay’s platform and offer flexible payment options, which can support the expansion of their operations.

Prior to its current move, more specifically at the end of April 2024, PPRO expanded its local payments offering in the US, allowing global PSPs and merchants to reach millions of US consumers through a single API.
