PinkRoccade first in the Netherlands to upgrade to SAP Enterprise Retail

Tuesday 9 December 2003 00:29 CET | News

PinkRoccade has completed the Netherlands very first upgrade to SAP Enterprise with the Retail extension. The business processes of body fashion market leader Hunkemöller were the first to successfully migrate from the former system in SAP 4.5b to the advanced possibilities in SAP Enterprise Retail. PinkRoccade is aiming for market leadership as an ICT service provider for the retail sector, by offering a single point of contact for a full package of smart, tried and tested ICT solutions that strengthen the competitiveness of retailers. For Hunkemöller, the migration, completed satisfactorily in four months, opens the way to profit from the improved possibilities in SAP for speed, connectivity, allocation strategy, stocking and range planning (MAP settlement). With this additional functionality, Hunkemöller can continue to guarantee its quality of service for consumers in the Netherlands and elsewhere in the future. PinkRoccade is a prominent SAP partner, particularly when it comes to strengthening the financial, logistical and administrative processes of retailers. This position was underscored by the successful upgrade of Hunkemöllers ICT system to SAP Enterprise. At Hunkemöllers initiative, PinkRoccade realised the necessary segregation of the complex retail system, involving more than 350 users, some 450 stores and over 1,5 terabytes of data, in June 2003. Hunkemöller then made a start on the migration of its own system to SAP Enterprise in July 2003.
