PestPatro has launched the PestPatrol Center for Pest Research (CPR), the largest and most extensive research group in the industry providing users worldwide with accurate and useful pest information.

PestPatrol has been accumulating an extensive knowledge base on malicious code since it first pioneered the anti-spyware and anti-adware category four years ago when it released the industrys first anti-spyware software in 2001. Dr. David Stang, PestPatrols co-founder and vice president of research leads a staff of 14 dedicated researchers in Bethesda, Md. Stang, a noted security industry pioneer, founded the National Computer Security Association in 1989, and has published six books and written hundreds of articles on computer security during his nearly 30 years of computer industry experience. CPRs collection process results in an exponentially growing, on-line library of updated reports on the latest pests as they emerge, including names and descriptions of more than 21,000 types of pests. As a public service, CPR publishes original research and news articles on the most prevalent pests in the wild. CPR provides computer users with free advice on how to delete malicious code and how to prevent infection. The complete CPR site can be accessed at http://research.pestpatrol.com
