Monday 27 December 2004 21:09 CET | News

Transaction Network Services has been appointed by PayPoint to provide dial-up connectivity between its retail terminals and headquarters in Welwyn Garden City.

PayPoint currently operates approximately 12,000 terminals in convenient locations collecting payment of household utility bills, council tax and rent, mobile phone pre-payments and television license renewals each year. In a five-year deal, using its secure and private network, TNS will route transactions from terminals located in convenience stores, newsstands, supermarkets, service stations and liquor stores to PayPoints processing hubs in Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield. The deal solidifies TNS position as a leading provider of data communications infrastructure to independent service operators.
