Paymentech Awarded Processing Agreement for The Container Store

Friday 6 February 2004 15:18 CET | News

National electronic payments processor Paymentech has won a multi-year processing agreement for The Container Store.

The Container Store awarded the agreement to Paymentech after a thorough review of numerous processors. Both companies are based in Dallas. The Container Stores 30 locations will transition from dial-up processing to frame relay and will add a PIN-based debit option at the point of sale, both of which were key to winning the contract. In addition, Paymentechs direct connection to debit networks played a key role in The Container Stores decision. Paymentech utilizes an alternate and dynamic routing system that routes debit transactions through the least expensive network -- which can save merchants thousands of dollars each year.
