NetSpend appoints Daniel R. Henry as CEO

US provider of prepaid cards NetSpend names international financial services entrepreneur and investor Daniel R. Henry as CEO. Henry is already a member of the companys board of directors. Henry succeeds Richard J. Savard, who had served as CEO since June of 2004.

Together with Michael Brown, Daniel R. Henry co-founded in 1994 processing electronic financial transactions provider Euronet Worldwide. Henry established the company’s first European office in Budapest, Hungary, and he served as the firm’s president and chief operation officer until the end of 2006. Henry still holds a position on the Board of Euronet Worldwide. NetSpend includes more than 20,000 retail locations where cards can be purchased and more than 50,000 locations where cards can be recharged. Henry said NetSPend is committed to continuing the expansion program over the next few years.
