National Bank of Pakistan to deploy core banking system from Fidelity National Information Services

Financial technology and processing services provider Fidelity National Information Services FIS) has teamed up with the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to provide the latter with its FIS Profile core processing system.

Under the terms of the deal, FIS is set to initially deploy its Profile core banking suite in 250 domestic NBP branches, and then proceed to install it in the bank’s overseas branches. The FIS Profile is a multicurrency, multilingual core processing system which centralises a banks customer data and deposit and loan accounts into a single system, sharing its configurable components across all product lines to support loan and deposit products.

NBP has 1,200 branches and a customer base of two million customers and a total of over 10 million accounts.
