More Real Estate for C-Store POS Applications

Monday 4 October 2004 15:40 CET | News

NCR has extended its popular NCR RealPOS 70 terminal family with the introduction of a 17-inch touchscreen display model.

Convenience store operators need to view and control fuel pump activities on the POS terminal while also handling store checkout transactions. This is a challenge for stores with large fuel operations, because the pump icons can quickly fill up a conventional-sized POS display. Industry-leading convenience store chain QuikTrip recently placed an order to install NCR RealPOS 70 terminals with 17-inch displays in all of its more than 440 locations. Nearly 20,000 NCR RealPOS 70 terminals have been delivered or ordered worldwide since it began shipping in December 2003. A stable POS platform that is easy to upgrade and service, it is built to withstand the rigors of harsh retail store environments, offering long-term investment value.
