Wednesday 2 September 2009 08:24 CET | News

Global payment services provider MoneyGram International has introduced a message notification service for the members of its customer loyalty program MoneyGram Rewards.

Dubbed SMS Receive Notice, the service has been launched in the US, France, Germany and Spain and MoneyGram Rewards customers who select it will be notified via SMS text message that the money transfer transaction they have initiated is complete.

In order to gain access to the service and receive SMS notifications, customers must sign up for the MoneyGram Rewards program online or ask a MoneyGram service agent to enroll them at the time of a transaction. If a customer is already a MoneyGram Rewards member, he will be able to use the service by texting ENROLL and his Rewards number to MGRAM.

Firstly introduced in 2008 in the US, the loyalty program provides its 3 million members with fee discounts, receive notices and form-free money transfers, as well as other benefits, including a personalised card for expediting money transfers, quarterly statements and the ability to manage their account and profile online.
