Under the terms of the deal, InComm is expected to assist MoneyGram in the distribution and activation of MoneyGram Xpress packages, which are set to be available to US consumers in select outlets in InComm’s network of 225,000 retail locations, including grocery and convenience stores, pharmacies and mass merchandisers.
The MoneyGram Xpress service is set to be initially offered in USD 50, USD 100 and USD 200 denominations and can be redeemed online or by telephone to complete the transaction.
Moreover, MoneyGrams partners are expected to further enable MoneyGram to provide its product in 40 countries including Canada, Hong Kong, Russia, the UK, the US and countries in the European Union.
In a recent development , MoneyGram is expected to introduce a cash-to-account money transfer service in the Philippines, in a bid to allow consumers to transfer money from MoneyGram locations the company’s website directly into the bank accounts of recipients in the Philippines.
