Metavante Appoints Three New Investment Technology Managers

Metavante has recently appointed Kevin S. ORourke as vice president and sales manager, J. Scott Slater as managing director, and John Francis as manager of client services to its Investment Technology Services division. Before joining Metavante, ORourke served as vice president for Bank of New York and was responsible for its Specialized Financial Industries division. He joined Bank of New York in 1986 as a broker dealer services operator and in 1992, was promoted from its institutional sales and marketing department to vice president. As vice president, ORourke was responsible for the marketing, mergers and acquisition activities for securities processing and domestic payment services. In 1997, ORourke was named division head of the specialized financial industries. In February 2004, J. Scott Slater joined the Metavante Investment Technology Services division to lead its consulting practice area. Slater joins Metavante after several years as a director at Spectrem Group, a consulting firm specializing in the wealth management industry. Since 2000, Slater assisted numerous clients in building their wealth management practices, and wrote extensively on wealth management issues. From 1996 to 2000, Slater served as senior vice president and general manager of American Express personal trust, and was responsible for the overall business strategy and management of the companys national personal trust division. Previously, Slater held senior marketing positions in both the corporate and retail banking groups of Wells Fargo (formerly known as Norwest Bank). John Francis joined Metavante as manager of client services, and is responsible for overall client satisfaction, new product awareness and customer calling. Prior to Metavante, Francis was division manager of correspondent services at Northern Trust Corporation, a multi-bank holding company based in Chicago. At Northern Trust, Francis was responsible for the service delivery of trust accounting, custody and investment products for over 250 clients. Metavante Investment Technology Services offers a set of Internet-enabled products and services to more than 200 financial services providers that address the specific needs of the rapidly growing wealthy, affluent, and emerging affluent markets as well as commercial clients. These solutions address asset and liability aggregation, trust and investment account management, client and regulatory reporting, and employee retirement benefit services.
