MasterCard rolls out ATM Hunter for Android smartphones

Thursday 20 January 2011 10:03 CET | News

Global payments company MasterCard has launched the ATM Hunter application for Android smartphones.

The MasterCard ATM Hunter is set to provide the Android platform with location-based technologies to search for the nearest ATM. Users are also able to search for a specific financial institution if they need to make a deposit or surcharge-free ATMs. Moreover, MasterCard ATM Hunter identifies wheelchair accessible, drive-thru or 24-hour access ATMs and provides directions to get there.

ATM Hunter application also includes the “report a problem” feature for an ATM location, enabling MasterCard to report a problem such as a non-working ATM or an ATM that no longer exists in the location noted.

MasterCard ATM Hunter is powered by the MasterCard Location Services platform and it is also available for both the iPhone and Blackberry.
