MasterCard International Expands Corporate Programmes

The MasterCard Multinational Corporate Programme enables MasterCard issuers to manage and consolidate corporate card programmes â€â€Å“ including the MasterCard Corporate Card, MasterCard Purchasing Card and MasterCard Corporate MultiCard - for multinational organisations that require commercial card programmes in more than one country.

The programme provides customer financial institutions with the ability to deliver tailored corporate payment programmes that meet the complex needs of multinational organisations. The MasterCard Multinational Corporate Programme offers multinational organisations an efficient, cost-effective method of managing and consolidating commercial card programmes into a single solution. Under the MasterCard Multinational Corporate Programme, the MasterCard global network of financial institutions deploy systems that deliver detailed transaction data to all multinational customers. A common file format makes it possible to consolidate data, in the MasterCard Global Data Repository, from different sources. Multinational organisations that adopt MasterCard commercial payment solutions can receive consolidated reports through MasterCard Smart Data Online, an MIS system, or other reporting applications even though they may have offices in different countries that use different banks. MasterCard Multinational Corporate Programme meets corporate customer needs through: - Single Point of Contact – for launch and implementation of a multinational programme. The multinational organisation will have one contact and one escalation point to serve global needs instead of multiple relationships with multiple banks in multiple countries. - Product Consistency –participating multinational issuers meet global standards, audited by MasterCard International, on insurance coverage, authorization capabilities and customer service levels to ensure consistent payment solutions no matter where employees are situated. - Consolidated Data – The data received from the issuer is stored in the MasterCard Global Data Repository. The data can then be transmitted to the corporation in any of the 200 customer file formats currently supported by MasterCard International or any format they require. MasterCard Smart Data Online can also deliver consolidated management reports for review in the local currency, for local analysis and can be consolidated to the headquarters currency of the multinational for global analysis. - Enhanced Data for Hotel and Airline – MasterCard captures detailed airline transaction data from most countries throughout the world which facilitates consistent global data. This type of data enables airline rate negotiations and travel policy compliance. MasterCard holds relationships with three major hotel companies. Hotel data is currently available in the United States but will expand globally in 2005.
