Hitachi will provide comprehensive support to the bank in everything from issuing IC chip-embedded cards to installing authentication ATMs. With this move, the bank aims to prevent crimes such as unauthorized cash withdrawal and credit card skimming. This will be the first that that the finger vein authentication service will have been used by regional financial institutions in the Kanto area.
