iSIVA Point-of-Sale Certified on IBM Retail Environment for SUSE LINUX

SIVA Corporations iSIVA point-of-sale application has received IBM Retail Environment for SUSE LINUX (IRES) certification.

Designed to help enhance operations at the critical point of sale, IRES combines a retail-optimized Linux platform based off the SUSE LINUX Retail Solution (SLRS) distribution from Novell Inc. with IBM SurePOS and IBM xSeries systems. The Java-based iSIVA point-of-sale is platform-neutral when it comes to hardware, operating system and database. Designed for the connected organization, the application features an enterprise architecture, embedded communications and real-time information flow between geographically dispersed sites.
