As a result of this improved efficiency, Identix expects to realize annual operational expense savings of more than $3.5 million starting in its fiscal 2005 year, which begins July 1, 2004. Identix said that it expects the net financial impact of this reduction in force to be modestly beneficial to net income for the remainder of its fiscal 2004 year ending June 30, 2004, when the anticipated operational expense savings are offset by the costs of severance payments.
