I-Med Red Médica is centralizing and enhancing its new ISAPRES biometric reading and payment activities in Chile using Hypercom ICE information and transaction terminals, BioPIN finger-scanning pads and software.

The all-Hypercom system will help thousands of physicians and other medical providers quickly and securely verify patient identity and eligibility for payments. This is the latest in a series of new contract wins for the global payment technology leader. I-Meds selection of Hypercom was through Red Comercio Company, which has managed the project as a System Integrator. I-Med expects to deploy more than 12,000 Hypercom terminals with peripherals by 2006.
