Thursday 22 July 2004 21:52 CET | News

At its meeting on 16 July, the administrative board of GZS Gesellschaft fÜr Zahlungssysteme mbH took important decisions about the future strategic course of the company. Each of the proposals was ratified unanimously by the three shareholder groups: the cooperative banks, private banks and savings banks.

To continue to secure maximum cost efficiencies into the future, GZS is to fully restructure its corporate processes. This follows on the heels of a number of major IT projects which were initiated in 2002 and whose successful conclusion culminated in the launch of a number of new system platforms. The cooperative finance association expressed a keen interest in continuing its business relationship with GZS. The partial processing solution variants for jointly realising the financial associations Card on Account strategy – which, in the meantime, are being developed in cooperation by the two organisations – played a crucial role in this decision. Based on its outstanding customer orientation and comprehensive portfolio of processing products and services, GZS is now focussing its efforts on acquiring new customers, both at home and abroad. In doing so, GZS has fulfilled crucial prerequisites for growth and higher earnings.
